This election is going down as one of the craziest in history. Between Trump and Clinton, there have not been candidates this hated by so many people. Why are these the candidates if people are so against them? I’ll save a rant about the 2 party system for another day. Anyways, I am voting for Gary Johnson, the Libertarian candidate, and in my opinion, the only candidate qualified to be the next president of the US. Why? We are talking about voting for the next person to run this country. Here are ten reasons I am voting for Gary Johnson. I will focus on the past, present, and future.
- Past – Gary Johnson was a republican overwhelmingly elected and reelected in a democratic state. Why? Because he did his job and did it well.
- Past – Johnson is scandal free. The biggest thing republicans and democrats have been able to dig up is that he is not strong with foreign policy (which makes sense for a libertarian).
- Past – Johnson’s had the largest job growth in the country because he did what libertarians do, getting the government out of the way.
- Present – Johnson has not deviated. While the other candidates have flopped on topics, Johnson has stuck to his beliefs.
- Present – Johnson is someone I can relate to. He is a down to earth, trustworthy candidate.
- Future – Johnson wants to bring home our troops and stop interfering in countries that we have done nothing but make worse.
- Future – Gary Johnson wants to revamp the entire tax code, simplifying it in a way that will create more jobs and eliminate loop holes that people are using to avoid paying taxes.
- Future – Johnson will eliminate Obamacare…….enough said!
- Future – Reduce the federal budget by 20%!!!!! He is the only candidate that wants to end deficit, even though many experts say out debt is the biggest threat to our country.
- Future – Gary Johnson wants a smaller government. They government has too much power, PERIOD! He wants to get them out of the way.
I could have given you a ton of reasons that focus on the weaknesses of Trump and Clinton, but I don’t need to in order to justify my vote. Can you say the same about your candidate? If so, AWESOME, go vote for them. If not, maybe you should rethink who you are voting for.
