If you have been fooled by CNN’s misleading article titled, “Ford will build its next generation all-electric car in Mexico, rather than at the plant in Michigan where it promised to build it,” you may think this is a bad thing.
However, if you read past the incredibly misleading headline, and the first half of the article, you get to the real story.
So, what is really going on?
Ford promised that it was going to invest $700 million into Michigan to start building electric cars their. This investment would have create roughly 700 jobs. AWESOME! Now, those jobs are heading to Mexico. Why? Because they are now going to invent $900 million in Michigan to start building self-driving cars. Oh yea, and it is expected to bring 850 jobs, 150 more than originally expected!
